WEDNESDAY -EVENING- An old foam stamp from my stash

Hi again hope you are all having a great evening.  I have a container with just Christmas stamps and other crafty things just for Christmas I almost gave this stamp away but the sentiment works the snowflakes seem to fade out a bit. I will probably paint those in or copic them.  Another Christmas card finished and ready to send. I don't normally use black card stock for a Christmas card, but I have a bunch of A2 card stock cut up and ready to go. PTI it is my favorite. I will be ordering more soon.
Thanks for visiting and thanks for your comments.

Tuesday afternoon- and some challenges

Hi All,
I'm back, lunch was a success!  I had a really easy job. Get the candles ready for the tables. I wasn't gone that long and the slurry guys were able to put the second coat on.  Which means our street may be available late tomoorrow or early Thursday. So I thought I would get another Christmas card made for my mailings and enter some challenges
.
Check out that cute little charm. When I was in Michigan and went too Frankenmouth, I found this huge bead store. Long story short. I was looking for a certain bead for a friend of mine who is a beadier and I found the last 5.  I will see her in a couple of weeks when we do our gift exchange. That is not the bead but I needed a charm for one of the challenges.

Boo hoo, I pressed too hard on my stamp I think I will add a little stickles to the middle of that, it should help it look a little better
This is crinkle ribbon that my friend Julie sells over at 3 girl Jam. It is really nice and  very uniform in color. This is a deep rich chocolate, hence the name hot chocolate. I thought I would try pleating it.  I wasn't sure how the crinkle ribbon would come out pleated, but I do like it.  It has a very romantic kind of look.
See my tiny seasons Greetings that is from an Inkadinkadoo stamp. the ink is Jenni Bowlin Brown sugar.
This is a 4.25x 4.25 card the card stock is PTI vintage cream and the patterned paper is DCWV Christmas combo stack.  I also used the white Sakura opaque pen to faux stitch around the bird to help pop it from the similar background.

TUESDAY MORNING- MORE ATC'S JUST A LITTLE SHARING

                   Remember these are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2

Hi Everyone,
This is a quick post, I have to hop in the shower, get the lunch made for the Christmas tea decorators and take it over to them.  Actually I am going to help decorate for a little while.  We are having our road re- slurry sealed, because of all the damage that happened to it earlier in the year.  This means I have to walk down to the bottom of the hill, to load up the car.
I thought I would just share with you some more ATC's. I have super ATC's that other artists have entered into the exhibit, but out of respect for them I will not post them until the show is up and I have their permission and of course They will be credited.

I will be back later to enter some challenges and visit.

I am curious to know what inspires you the most to create, cards, scrap booking, decorations, etc.?

MONDAY NIGHT- and some challenges

The challenge round or square and follow the sketch over at Mojo Monday
I chose to do the square A2 size- 4.25 x 4.25

I am also entering a challenge to make a Holiday card  where the colors gold, red, and green can not be  used, over at Scraptastic Monday I went for shades of blue and cream. I really like the way this came out. I very rarely use blue, so this was a nice change for me, and a challenge.
My card stock is PTI vintage cream.my patterned paper is from DCWV.

Monday Morning- working with MY PINK STAMPER stamp set today and another Chritmas card

Hi Everyone,
Hope your day is going well so far.

I used Debbie Mumm for the patterned paper the card stock isPTI fine linen and the ribbon is offray organza. The sentiment is MY PINK STAMPER  "Winter Treats and Sayings". The brad is recollections from Michael's. The Debbi Mumm paper is a couple of years old and I think I have used almost every  patterned sheet in the pack. That's it for now, you may see me later.
Have a great day.

Sunday ---Evening- Remember tomorrow is cyber- Monday

I hope you all are having a great day.
I went to a craft fair after church today . I really enjoyed seeing work by local and up coming artists.  Then, it was out to lunch with my husband and then home to get working on the art exhibit.
I have a busy week a head of me on Tuesday I am helping decorate for our annual Christmas tea and I also offered to feed all the helpers. So I need to make lunch, before I head out. I got a friend to do pumpkin squash soup and I think I will probably do a sliced deli selection and some nice bakery bread and condiments and a veggie tray.  That way they can nibble if they get hungry later in the day.  Friday evening is the tea so I will be attending that.  I usually hostess a table but this year because of my art exhibit I knew it would be too much for me.  I do know my limits.
Isn't this just the cutest little image in the cradle. I better get this posted so I can come visit some of you, before my battery gives out (I mean my internal battery, not my computer).

SATURDAY-AFTERNOON and A plumber story and some challenges

Hi Friends,
I got up and out early today. I had to get to the local craft store, the lumber yard, staples and the post office. I put a roast in the crock pot before I left and the aroma is really making me hungry, right now.   I figured I better get in the art room and get something posted before it is too late in the day.  I have been pretty busy on the art project, hence the trip to the lumber yard. Unfortunately, it did not turn out how I hoped, but in evaluating the situation I decided to make do with what I have for the display.

Last week, we had to call a plumber. God bless my husband, I asked him if he could fix the sink faucet that made this high pitched ear piercing sound.  He did, it lasted for awhile and then the sound came back along with dripping. The first time the plumber came out he fixed the faucet, but the dripping under the sink was even worse, AFTER he left..  Long story short, I pulled everything out from under the sink and  got rid of a lot of unnecessary items.  Although I had saved this for some reason and now I know why

This is one of those containers that clinque gives out with purchase with purchase, and inside are all the little sample sized goodies.  I decided to transform it to fit a couple of challenges and also I have some parties coming up where I will need to give a hostess gift.  If I put tissue in here, and  a small gift no on will be the wiser and what a great way to recycle. This was not on the side of the sink where the water was dripping, plus we had a little bucket uner there to catch the drips.  Just for those curious minds.

Her is my finished piece.  I love the way it came out.

I used three different paper designs from My Mind's Eye (I just love this Christmas pack)
Beside the metal tag, I have a metal brad holding the three tags that were made using a Sizzix die
This is the close up of the Thank you tag. It is one of those making memories curling tags.
This is the bottom and this is the end of the post

Thses are the challenges I am entering
Crafty Sprouts: Tag it
Frosted Designs:Metal
Docerela:3D project
2 Sisters: Holiday
Go Fish: Any thing but a card
The second time the plumber came out, he fixed the drip. We needed new turn off valves and some other supplies plumbers carry. I'm just thankful it is fixed.  We will use these plumbers again.  Happy ending. My husband was my hero  again.

What do you think do you have any good plumber stories?

SATURDAY MORNING- and a challenge

I made this for the Tiddly inks challenge, I downloaded one of the cute images and then began coloring it I used Derwent pencils. For the gum drops I used distressed rock candy stickles, it gives it kind of a sugary looking surface without the shine. This is a birthday card for one of my nieces a (5 year old ) .

This is one of those  2 1/2 x  3 1/2 ATC's. The green sparkle in the background is actually a yellow glitter glue, but this is the color it looks on a black background. I like it . The images on the ATC are from "meow" and ephemera that I have

Thanks for stopping by.

FRIDAY-- BLACK FRIDAY- again

Another Christmas card
I like how this came out, except I think the type is too large for the card.
This is all PTI paper the green and the red are from leaf print and deeper green is ripe avocado.
I made the wreath punching out branch leaves and then gluing them onto a scrap snowflake just to have a round shape. The pearl was ivory, but I wanted it to stand out so I colored it with a Copic marker  carmine R37.
I like the colors and I think it is cheerful.
Now I think I need more Christmas stamps that say Merry Christmas-- Oh well I better get on line and do some shopping.
Have a great weekend everyone,

Thanksgiving- SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY

Here is how my Thanksgiving Day went today. We went down to the wharf and had a full Thanksgiving dinner.  Complete with Pumpkin pie.  It was a cool day but clear and beautiful.
We then just drove along the coast

We have two lighthouses in Santa Cruz,  this is the one by the jetty near the harbor. This one is near where the Tsunami came in a few months back.  This is looking a little more toward the Montery bay
This is a close up view.  It was a bit windy and chilly for us 47degrees .

This is looking South

This one is looking South west. This was the beginning of our sunset.  Sometimes our sunsets are absolutely amazing. This was about the extent of the colors tonight.

Yesterday I received my winnings in the mail from Carri over at a busy bee. Thank you Carri.
I used this Yellow glitter glue on black paper and it came out green. Really neat. I am really looking forward to using all the products she sent me. Go check out her blog she is very creative and  friendly . I'm sure she would love to have you come visit.

I was inspired by the leaves and the space to the right
I chose to make a tag with fall colors. Although I like the colors in the photo.
I went for more of the design.
Here is my project. I thought this would be a great tag to put on a fruit basket

The stamps are from My Pink Stamper "Winter treats and sayings"
the paper is DCWV
Versamark Onyx black
The ribbon is no brand

Thanks for visiting me I read and  appreciate all comments.

THURSDAY MORNING- AND SOME CHALLENGES

The countdown is on now, we are 4 weeks and three days away from Christmas.  I have been busily working on my Christmas cards and I came up with this one. I used three different embossing folders for the texture and then folded the paper to form the trees.  The paper is a bit thick, so I know there will be extra postage for this one. It also ripped a bit while folding I'll have to remember that next time

The challenges that I am entering this in are:
The Play Date Cafe: Maroon, Copper and Tumeric
Cards for men: Folds

This is a 5x7 size card
I used DCWV (glimmer stack)& PTI (vintage cream) card stock
Rubber stampede stamp for the sentiment

TUESDAY EVENING - AGAIN ANOTHER CHALLENGE

I tried to keep this monochromatic. I only used three patterned papers here  and they are all in shades of brown, but it looks too busy to me,  I think it has to do with everything being all swirly.  If I would have cut the lettering any smaller it would have been much too difficult to work with. Although I am pretty pleased with the way the cuts came out. I will call it finished. The patterned paper is from the vintage imagine cartridge and the card stock is PTI.
I'm entering this into :
Die Cuttin' Divas: Native American Thanksgiving
Creative Card Crew:Monochromatic

Tuesday Evening- Peachy Keen has a sketch challenge going on here it is.

This is for the Peachy keen Sketch challenge this week. I did  not use a cricut cut, although I did use two punches. My card stock is PTI and DCWV. I used Inkadinkadoo for the sentiment and Jenni Bowlin Brown sugar ink. This is a 5 x7 card.

This card also qualifies for the Tuesday Throw down: Circles.
Thanks for coming by, I enjoy reading each and every comment.
I hope you are all having a stress-free pre -Thanksgiving  countdown
Sisterhood of crafters: polka dots

What happened in 1621?

Tuesday- Celebrate the Occasion CHALLENGE #40 celebrating Thanksgiving

This is Challenge # 40 over here at Celebrate the Occasion.
The challenge is to create a Thanksgiving card and you must use a button. I hope you will visit all the CTO design team members for inspiration on this challenge and then begin a design of your own, then link it up before Sunday November 27th  by 11:59 p.m.

I went for the simple design here.  I fussy cut this wreath and cut about a third of it off glued it to the paper and then stamped Happy Thanksgiving, I rounded the corners and that is the end of the story.
EASY . Oh yes I added a button with twine. I took along time cutting out the wreath. I think it came out very pretty the paper is from DCWV.  My stamp is and old one that I have had for years a good old fashioned rubber stamp by stampendous. I used versamark onyx black ink.
I hope you all have a very stress free and Blessed Thanksgiving.
Big Hugs, Diana

MONDAY- AFTERNOON-- -Again another challenge.

Here is this sketch this week from MOJO Mondays.

I have not entered this challenge in a while i thought I needed to exercise my sketch challenge skills, plus I just love this new cartridge so I wanted to work with it a bit more. I needed more scraps for my ATC's. I am really looking forward to getting this show hung so I can throw all these scarps out. The problem is if I throw them out now I may just need one little piece to make it work. Oh my about 2 more weeeks it is sneaking up on me. Another challenge finished, I will geet dinner going eat and then I will be back to visit you all. Oh the buttons from The  little red cottage. I won those over at Frosted Designs a few months ago
Big hugs DIANA
